Start with the project stage—not the promotional headline
Junior mining investors need to understand where a project sits in the exploration and development sequence. Early-stage target generation, first-pass drilling, resource definition, engineering, permitting, construction, and production are materially different stages with different risks and evidence.
State the commodity, jurisdiction, land position, project stage, current program, and next announced milestone clearly. Avoid language that makes an exploration target sound like a resource or a resource sound like an operating mine.
Clarity builds credibility: explain what the company has established, what it is testing now, and what remains unknown.
Translate drill results without stripping away context
A strong drill-results summary preserves the numbers and explains their role in the program. It should not rely on grade alone.
- Identify the hole, interval, grade, commodity, and reported units exactly.
- State whether the interval is drilled length or an estimated true width when the source provides that information.
- Explain whether the hole is an infill, step-out, discovery, extension, confirmation, or target-testing hole.
- Describe how the result relates to prior holes, mapped geology, geophysics, or the current model.
- Link directly to the release and qualified technical disclosure.
When equivalent grades are used, preserve the assumptions and source context. Do not compare deposits or projects solely on a headline interval without accounting for geology, metallurgy, depth, continuity, infrastructure, jurisdiction, and stage.
Help investors understand the geological picture
Terms such as strike, dip, down-dip, along strike, breccia, vein, alteration, conductor, anomaly, and mineralized envelope may be familiar to technical readers but unclear to a broader audience. Define the term briefly, then connect it to the question the exploration program is trying to answer.
- Where is the target? Use a location map and show its relationship to known zones, infrastructure, and property boundaries.
- Why was it selected? Explain the geological, geochemical, geophysical, or historical evidence.
- What did the latest work test? Describe the purpose of the hole, survey, sampling, or modelling program.
- What happens next? State the announced follow-up work and avoid inventing timelines or outcomes.
Communicate the exploration story as a sequence
One drill release rarely explains the entire project. Use a connected content sequence that helps investors follow the program over time:
- Project overview and jurisdiction.
- Geological model and target rationale.
- Current drill or field program objectives.
- Result summary linked to the primary release.
- Map showing the hole or target location.
- Context from nearby results or historical work.
- Outstanding assays or announced follow-up work.
- How the program fits the company’s broader development strategy.
Use visuals that clarify—not decorate
Maps, sections, core photographs, longitudinal projections, program timelines, and process diagrams can make a technical story understandable. Every visual should have a readable title, legend, scale where relevant, source, and enough context to stand on its own.
For social content, simplify the visual while preserving the important labels. For the website or technical presentation, provide the complete figure and a caption that explains what the reader should notice.
Protect technical and disclosure accuracy
Mining communications may require review by management, legal counsel, exchange advisers, and a qualified person depending on the jurisdiction and content. Promotional summaries should remain consistent with the company’s filed technical disclosure and should not add unsupported economic conclusions.
Use careful verbs. “Reported,” “intersected,” “identified,” “tested,” “extended,” and “plans to evaluate” are more precise than language that assumes continuity, scale, economics, or a future mine.

- The project stage and current program are stated accurately.
- Grades, intervals, units, hole numbers, and qualifications match the source.
- The reason for the work is explained in plain language.
- Maps and sections include readable labels and source context.
- Exploration targets are not described as resources or reserves.
- Future work is presented as planned or expected—not guaranteed.
- Technical content follows the company’s required review process.
- Every promotional summary links to the complete official disclosure.
