At a glance
  • Drill hole GD-26-431 returned 9.12 g/t AuEq over 11.27 metres, including 13.89 g/t AuEq over 7.14 metres.
  • Goliath says 2026 step-out drilling has expanded the Bonanza Zone in four directions and lifted the Surebet system footprint to 2.01 square kilometres.
  • The fully funded 2026 program totals approximately 50,000 metres with seven drill rigs, leaving a substantial assay pipeline still to report.

A high-grade interval lands on the western edge of Bonanza

Goliath Resources’ latest Surebet update adds another substantial high-grade interval to a 2026 program that has increasingly become an expansion story. Drill hole GD-26-431 returned 9.12 g/t gold equivalent over 11.27 metres, including 13.89 g/t AuEq over 7.14 metres, from the western fringes of the Bonanza Zone. The company also reported a second mineralized interval in the same hole of 4.70 g/t AuEq over 3.03 metres within a broader 20.00-metre interval grading 1.08 g/t AuEq.

The placement of the intercept matters as much as the grade. Rather than coming from the middle of a mature drill pattern, GD-26-431 was positioned along the western part of the mineralized system. That gives the result a dual role: it adds grade information and it helps define how far the Bonanza mineralization can continue away from the better-established core of the discovery.

Northern step-outs are adding another dimension to the zone

A second hole, GD-26-442, tested a 100-metre step-out to the north and returned 8.35 g/t AuEq over 4.15 metres, including 31.42 g/t AuEq over 1.00 metre. Goliath reported visible gold with the quartz-sulphide veining in that interval, continuing a visual feature seen repeatedly across the 2026 campaign.

The company says Bonanza has now been expanded by 750 metres to the southwest, 100 metres to the west, 100 metres to the north and 160 metres to the northeast through the current program. Those step-outs do more than add isolated points on a map. Together they are turning a high-grade vein discovery into a progressively larger mineralized footprint, while the zone remains open for additional drilling.

The Surebet footprint keeps getting larger

Goliath now places the total footprint of the Surebet system at 2.01 square kilometres, up 12% from the 1.8-square-kilometre footprint defined before the 2026 season. Within that system, the company reports Bonanza at 1.51 square kilometres, up 19%, while the Golden Gate Zone has expanded to 1.17 square kilometres, up 38%.

That change is one of the clearest ways to read the season so far. A drill campaign can generate impressive individual assays without materially changing the scale of a project. At Surebet, the company’s 2026 numbers indicate that the program is doing both: returning high-grade intervals and increasing the mapped area of the principal mineralized zones.

A large assay pipeline leaves more of the 2026 program to come

Goliath says visible gold has been encountered in multiple veins and shear zones in 52 of 92 holes drilled during 2026, and that every completed 2026 hole to date has intersected quartz-sulphide mineralization. The company has also emphasized that only a small portion of this year’s holes have complete gold-equivalent assays reported so far.

The broader program is fully funded at approximately 50,000 metres and uses seven drill rigs across the Bonanza, Eldorado, Golden Gate, Surebet and Whopper zones. That means the September 18 release reads less like a final result and more like one checkpoint inside a much larger data set. The next rounds of assays can now be compared against a system whose physical footprint is already larger than it was at the start of the season.
