The company said the new result confirms continuation of the Goofy Vein at depth after the vein was first disclosed in July. The discovery hole previously returned 9.10 metres grading 14.70 g/t gold and 36.70 g/t silver, giving the company more than one high-grade intersection to use when interpreting continuity.

The 3Ts project contains a district of low-sulphidation epithermal quartz-carbonate veins. Independence Gold says at least twenty mineralized veins are known across the property and that a number remain untested by drilling, leaving both resource-expansion and discovery potential in the broader system.

For an epithermal vein project, the geometry matters as much as individual grades. Strike continuity, true width, vertical extent and the relationship between parallel veins determine whether high-grade intersections can be converted into a coherent mineralized volume rather than a collection of isolated hits.

The August 31 result strengthens the geological case for Goofy but does not by itself establish a resource. Additional drilling will need to test the vein along strike and at depth, while structural modelling should clarify whether the new interval represents the same continuous shoot as the discovery hole.
