The development

Metal Energy mobilized a second diamond drill rig to its NIV copper-gold project in British Columbia’s Toodoggone district, doubling available drilling capacity for the final approximately four weeks of the 2026 field season.

Six holes totaling about 4,200 metres had been completed toward the planned 6,000-metre program. The additional rig gives the company flexibility to complete more metres and follow up promptly on holes or targets that appear most prospective during the campaign.

The program is the first drill test of NIV and is intended to evaluate a mineralized system interpreted across roughly five kilometres of strike. The property contains coincident soil-geochemical, induced-polarization and airborne-magnetic anomalies.

Metal Energy said assays will be released after results are received, reviewed, compiled and interpreted. That sequencing matters because no analytical results from the current program were included in the second-rig announcement.
